If you really want to get serious about beating blackjack, you need serious training software.
When it comes to card counting practice and training software, choose the software recommended by professionals… is the absolute ultimate in blackjack practice tools.
It runs on Microsoft Windows everything from Windows XP up to the latest version at the time of this writing, Windows 10.

You can set up virtually any card counting system, with your own tags, index numbers, and strategies.
You can practice against the specific rules, system, and conditions that you will face in the casino.
This software has evolved over many years incorporating feedback from some of the best players in the world.

Is it the same???
Author replied: The dealer cannot vary strategy.
He hits until he has 17 or higher, and then stands.
The only exception is that many casinos have the dealer hit a soft 17 as well.
Joge replied: Do not understand your question.
So what is it you had over 21 or 16?
The dealer must pick up ones chip if they bust making over 21.
In your case hitting 15 and catching an ace gives you 16 which is not over 21.
The goal playing blackjack is to not bust your hand but to get close to 21 as possible.
Your odds on busting 16 is greater as you only have 16% chance of catching your cards.
This also depends on how many high cards have been played.
The more high cards played makes your odds better of making a better.
In this case your better bet is to stay or hit.

As good as you think this trainer game is and it is a good one there are still many flaws in it.
I have lost more on this trainer than in real life.
So take and use it for what it is worth, fun.
My best advice to those who are new to all this is to know when to walk away no matter if your winning and especially when your losing.
The next time you venture to your local casino watch the people when playing you will be amazed at what you see.
I see so many people sit down to play out of desperation and within minutes lose everything.
The house has every right to win just like you do.

If this program is as similar as it is in the real casino could it actually be possible to win lots of money???
I am always under the suspicion that casinos can cheat and basically get away with it.
I am not saying they do and if they were the only culprit is the computers running that shuffle the cards in such an order that does not always seem so random due to the natural variance in the game.
I for a lot of time was against basic strategy but at same time maybe I did not know it well enough to be able to say such crazy things.

I did this over and over again regardless of win or loss streak.
It becomes literally impossible for you to win if you play enough hands because of the law of large numbers.

How would my win rate be influenced if the deck was shuffled when it reaches 2 decks?

Cutting the penetration by a deck would cut your win rate quite a bit, perhaps as much as 50%.

If so, you are doing very good.

Wayne said: Thank you for providing such a nice training game, it is very informative and a valuable training tool.
I do find the screen difficult to see as the contrast seems to be on the weak side.
Other than that one minor issue your game is excellent.
Right now I live in Germany so I have many casinos in many countries to play.
I for some lucky reason win 99% of the time and have never gone home a loser.
The casinos in Europe they use the same basic rules though they are smaller compared to U.
Reminds me of the old days when people dressed up or like a James Bond movie, really cool to see.
Anyway I use a couple of trainer games and you must keep in mind these are just helpful games and anyone who thinks they can remember every rule or option to play should remember rules are meant to be broken and are not always correct.
Use them as a simple guide not an almighty answer to walking out a winner.
Many times I have gone against the recommendations of the game trainer and have won and if I would have followed the advice of the trainer I would have lost.
So far this trainer game is as close to the real action as it gets, but like others have pointed out it has flaws that are not realistic.
The house has the same rights to win as the player does.
Go with your gut feelings and know when to walk away.
I use these game trainers for basic learning and just to enjoyment.
Mathematically its theory is probably good on paper but in reality the dealer mostly always comes out ahead.
Jerry said: I forgot to mention I have noticed on a second hit it sends two cards not one, The game also freezes up and at times gets really slow after so many hands.
Jerry said: I have enjoyed your Blackjack Trainer and I have learned enough to say it has helped me become a better player.
You probably already know this, but as good as the Trainer is, it has a few fawls.
Such as when a high card appears just about every time like clockwork it equals 20.
This makes the Trainer seem to have somewhat unrealistic outcomes.
I have been playing for sometime and I am not a kid and not a pro, but I can see the Trainer has certain outcomes that are not true to life.
I would like your game even more if you just check this out it a little better.
I would like this because I was playing the App and stayed on 16 vs a dealer 10 in a high true count and it said my play was wrong.
I think this would be a cool addition.
Another cool thing would be allowing the player to choose how much penetration the game has.
Thank you for listening!

Author replied: CVData from qfit.
CVCX is a slightly less expensive option that handles many simulation questions.
While this improvement is small, every little bit helps.
For a card counter, surrender is considerably more valuable for several reasons.
Author replied: The amount of benefit surrender provides for a counter depends on almost everything that can change in the game, penetration, bet spread, etc.
If you need an answer, get some software to check your specific conditions.
What happened to the original strategy page, where you selected the number of decks and dealer hits or stands on soft 17 etc.?
What would be the result estimated for a real game in this style?
Reply Author replied: I recommend posting this question on the newly re-opened to see if anyone can run a simulation for you with these conditions and betting strategy.
In the short run, if you are lucky you will win.
If you are unlucky you will lose.
But you always have the best chance by playing correctly.
Again, I am sure about my counting and the only thing would be a shallow penetration or software that does not use randomly a full deck of cards.
Or where am I wrong?
Author replied: You would only expect to reach the exact expected end count if you saw every card in the deck.
The trainer mimics what you will see in a real casino, shuffling after the end of the hand where the 35th card is dealt in the single deck game.
The deck s are normal, and randomly shuffled.
Never came to the endl count of +4.
Is that because of penetration or???
Dominic said: I really enjoy your practice platform.
I was wondering, can we play online and make money or should we avoid that and only play in casinos?
Author replied: Card counting is not much of an option online, although the possibility does exist in the live-dealer games that a few places offer.
Even there, the penetration just click for source poor, usually 50% or worse of an 8-deck shoe.
The bonuses and promotions can also be profitable sometimes, but these days it is tough to get an actual positive play at online casinos.
So it really depends on what you want from the game.
Development of the new version has been at a standstill while I was in a months-long process of getting rid of 80% of my accumulated stuff and moving to a new state.

I have only played about 5 times not counting cards at the casinos on the 21 plus 3 card tables and have had some decent luck, especially the 3 card bet and would like to learn a bit more about that betting too.
Thanks for your practice game, it has been helpful.
I tend to go against the grain and do not draw to anything above 14 even when the dealer has a high card and have not done bad.
My thoughts are to make the dealer beat me not me busting and beating myself.
Author replied: Things can certainly change quickly.
BlackjackInfo has a new owner who took over this month.
I know the new team has some excellent resources available for blackjack trainer software.
If you are referring to the other product on this page, Casino Verite is not involved in these changes, and the latest version is available as always at the provided Amazon links.
Like any strategy, it can certainly work on any given hand.
But I strongly encourage you to learn the correct strategy for the game, and stick to it.
Standing with stiff hands against strong dealer upcards does indeed keep you from busting, but you will lose a lot more money in the long run by playing this way.
Clay Marion said: Going to Vegas in Sept.
I have basic strategy down.
If you plan to count, you will need to look a lot harder to find decent regular shuffled games at that level.
The first thing to check is make sure that blackjack pays 3:2, not 6:5.
Check TI for some decent low-limit blackjack tables, or look downtown.
The rules are generally going to be 6 deck or 8 deck, dealer hits soft 17, no surrender.
Author replied: Yes, you are right that Flash is dying.
My development of the new mobile-friendly HTML5 version has been stalled a bit while my family prepares to move this summer.
And yes, I get about an equal number of complaints about the game being rigged to be too easy and too hard.

Any idea of the approximate launch date?
Looking forward to the new version.
Thanks again for a great strategy trainer!
I will resume development in August, so I now expect a launch in the fall at the earliest.

Sam said: hello, i have a question.
Thanks Sam Author replied: That would be called luck.
Sam replied: I played about 100 time and I win more than 80%This is not a luck.
What algorithm is used for card shuffling?
I think the trainer play along me.
Author replied: The trainer shuffles randomly, and deals normally.
Your winning streak is the result of luck.
When is using late surrender with the dealer ace trainer first offers surrendering instead of insurance.
And again I continue to win.
May be there is a reason to imitate dealers shuffling, instead of mathematical random shuffling.
You may be right about the surrender issue, although it is possible that the surrender may only work if the dealer does NOT have blackjack.
Kurt said: Is there an iOS app version of this trainer for my iPad?

Thanks for ALL of the free information and training aids!
Author replied: The current Strategy Trainer works just fine in this regard.
Ties are a push.
You are being confused by the way the bankroll is adjusted up when the bet is returned to your bankroll, and then down by the bet being made again.
If you happen to look at the wrong moment, you only see the second half of that transaction.

I noticed that amount won many times is not added to the total.
I thoutht maybe I was making a mistake but after careful watching of several hundred hands I confirmed that to be the case.
Kind of makes me wonder if the rest of the software has a problem.
Check it out and let me know what gives.
Author replied: No, there is no problem with the paying of winning hands in the free game.
The confusion comes from the way that your balance increases after the hand, and then immediately decreases again as the next bet is automatically made.
Many people only notice the second part and think their balance is going down after a winning hand.

Luis said: Ken, Will improve the question.

That betting should I do?
Should I worry about the commission?
Those questions are going to depend on your edge and how willing you are to play with an advantage for these long periods.
See my other reply for advice on software or books to answer those questions.
Luis said: Ken, I found the following game: Dealer Stands on Soft 17; Double any card; Double after split Ok; Later Surrender; Ofter insurance on dealer Ace; 8 Decks; penetration 75%; I can stay outcounting to enter the game at any time; Tables from 5 to 500; 10 to 1.
Author replied: Your advantage is going to heavily depend on your bet spread, and the bet ramp.
Two recommendations:to accurately sim any game and counting system, or the book for a ton of pre-figured stats on many games.
In double-deck on the other hand, 75% is a great game.
Andrew said: Something I noticed is that the dealer will still hit even if their first two cards have a greater total than mine and its under 17.
No sane dealer in real life would hit when they already have a total greater than yours, right?

Jack said: I was wondering what should a player do if he lost the count of the cards dealt and does the count have to always be exact?
Author replied: The count does not here to be exact, but there are a few really dangerous mistakes you can make.
If for example, you flip the sign, turning a negative count into a positive count, that would free black jak you bet bigger money into bad situations.
Obviously an expensive mistake.
If you truly lose all track of where the count is, just flat-bet the minimum until the shuffle.
Jack replied: Thank you very much I was also wondering should a player enter the deck just as it has been shuffled and if not how should a player determine a count when there is only half of the deck to start with?
Author replied: You can start any time during the shuffle.
Just think of the cards already free black jak the discard tray as being behind the cut card instead.
But everything works just the same.
Jack replied: I was also wondering how should a player go about betting when counting say the minimum bet is 2 and the maximum 10 with the bankroll of 500 at what count would you advise to increase bets from the minimum?
Author replied: You can start increasing your bet at a true count of +2 some games at +1and you should generally have your biggest bets on the table at +5 and higher.

I tried searching it up and apparently the Lucky Lucky LL bet is a more info game when card counting is taken into consideration apparently 2 deck is best for it.
If Ken Smith or anyone knows if this is still profitable at a 8 deck game, at a true count of +2 or +3, would it be profitable to blast the LL side bet?

Josh said: Hello thanks for previous answers, new question!
I have a relatively small bankroll and comps and match plays really make a huge impact on my future game have not frequented many times yetbut wanted to clarify some thoughts.
Sorry if this seems silly, but I just wanted to make sure about the math before I dive into this.
In fact the edge from coupons will often dwarf the rest of your advantage.
Play all of them you can.
Knowing that the probability of the next card being a 10 and more often busting than improving you, should you stand and pray the dealer has 6 or less and take that 10?
Or do you always hit since too many cards improve you and refer to basic strategy?
Thanks Author replied: Short answer: Just always hit 12, 13, and 14 vs Ten.
Longer answer: For 12vT and 13vT, the count basically never gets high enough to stand.
With 14vT, the appropriate Hi-Lo index would be very high.
This is likely because the Halves count includes sevens, which are quite important for that specific hand.
Like a +1 and you should stand on 16 vs 10, at what count would I have to stand on a 15?
Thanks again Author replied: 16vT: Stand at 0 or higher.

It also recommended I surrender with a 7 vs an ace.

Bob Boose said: The game has been slow and jerky the last few days.
I have a very fast internet connection so I know the problem must be at your end.
Author replied: Once the current version of the trainer is loaded and running, it runs locally on your machine.
Something has to be causing Flash to run slowly on your machine.
Note that this will work completely differently in the eventual new version, which will be interacting with the server to provide additional features.
If the actual numbers would help, here they are for a 6-deck S17 DAS game: Splitting 44v6 wins 0.
Doubling makes only 0.
You mention hitting 13v2, which is not correct.
You probably meant hitting 12 against a 2 or a 3 up.
Again, just trust basic strategy.
With 8,4 vs 2, hitting loses 0.
Standing is quite a bit worse, losing 0.
Short-term results can be very misleading.
Just trust the math.
Author replied: Thanks for the feedback.
Anonymous replied: If you could somehow put it into operation, this portal would be even more awesome than it is now.
The strategy engine on hitorsplit.
Tom said: I like the ease of use.
That makes it difficult to not make the same mistake in the future.
Also, this form says the email is optional.
As for the emails not being optional when leaving a comment, thanks for letting me know!
Peter said: I could never understand this about card counting.
If the deck is rich in ten counts and aces…It is said it is too the advantage of the player….
How can it not be advantageous to the dealer if the dealer is drawing cards from the same rich deck?
Author replied: You are correct in thinking that the dealer is just as likely to get those extra face cards and Aces as you are.
But those cards are more valuable for the player for two reasons: 1 If you get a blackjack, you win 3:2.
If the dealer gets a blackjack, he only wins even money.
The dealer therefore busts more often when the deck is rich in face cards.
Sean said: I think there was an error in my variation, maybe not though.
Is this an error in the application or something I myself and missing?
Author replied: I think I see the problem… Ace,6,6,2 is hard 15, not hard 17.
Yep, you should hit that against a dealer ten.
On a Hard 16 with the same rules 6 Decks, DAS, H17, Peek, Insurance Offered Chart I generated on the site says to Surrender or Stand with a dealer 10 but on a 9 or ace it says surrender or hit, I think I ran into this problem on this application and I looked at other strategy resources and they say to hit.
So I guess my question is which one is it?
Author replied: You are referring to this chart: and its surprising advice with 16vT.
Yet almost all other strategy charts including my own plastic cards!
In fact, I wrote a whole article about it a year ago… See Robo said: Great game.
I found a bug while playing this morning.
Split 10s three times.
The first hit was a 9 and I stand with a 19.
The second hit was an ace and have a 21, but am unable to proceed because the hit and stand buttons are not available.
Author replied: Thanks for the report.
That sounds familiar as a bug.
Ben Nelson said: I love the trainer and how helpful it is; is it possible to add a feature explaining when to change from basic strategy?
Great site and thanks for all the info!
Ben Author replied: Count-based strategy variations are on my list for consideration in the next version, so it may happen.
Thanks for the feedback!
Author replied: The trainer does allow doubling on soft hands.
You likely either chose a limited doubling rule like double 10,11 only, or you were out of funds.
Author replied: Hi Raymond, I notice you are visiting from a mobile device which likely does not support Flash.
That did not change with the new website.
Perhaps you were previously visiting from a desktop computer instead?
If you were previously able to access the trainer from your mobile device, please let me know.
But I am unaware of any that support Flash.
By the way, now that the website design is complete, I can get to work creating a new version of the trainer.
For one thing, the new version will not require Flash, and should work on any device.
I plan for it to also optionally be multi-player.
It consistently deals out high cards straight from the beginning.
Time after time after time, I set it to 2 decks, and I see extremely negative counts, very quickly, and the reason is because lots of high cards come out straight at the beginning.
Stranger things that one expects are conceivable can happen by chance.
But what can I do, no one would ever hire me for an actual job.
What happens whenever I touch the stock market?
I just suck at everything.
Oh, by the way, you say on your website in your blackjack lessons that you should take insurance when the count gets to 1.
The actually correct answer is actually exactly 3 and a third.
Or if you want to maximize utility expectation on a logarithmic scale, a.
Many of it counting cards.
This happens nearly every time.
Lizzy replied: Thanks for the input Randy.
I am no longer counting on blackjack to make me a million dollars.
I play occasionally, but when I play…I play to win.
I think this could be a great second job or play to earn some extra money, but to make a living doing this?
Windar replied: In BlackJack 16 of 52 cards 31% have a value of ten and 4 of 52 cards 7% are aces.
EVERY THIRD CARD SHOULD BE A HIGH CARD.
Anyways my opinion is that no matter how many decks there are, blackjacks should be dealt 7 times out of every 100 cards in game play.
Or to put it another way one of every 14 cards in play or about one in five hands of play could be a BlackJack because that is when an ace should appear.
And that BlackJack could be for the player or for the dealer.
Joe Fedorchuk said: I also find the black back ground hard to watch.
Thanks for the strategy trainer.
MARK WHEELER said: The new display, i.
It makes my eyes hurt.
It causes distortions in perception and causes a loss in concentration.
Please change back to the green background or anything easier on the eyes.
Thank you for the service of the strategy trainer.
On the screen colors, I may experiment with that a bit and see what I can come up with.
Thanks for the feedback.
MARK WHEELER replied: Can you quantify the change.
I have been calculating the winning percentage at 47.
Is this about correct for the dealer hits soft-17 option.
The Beau Rivage, Biloxi plays Dealer Hits Free black jak 17, has late surrender and re-split Aces up to 4 hands.
This seems to offer good odds.
Thanks again for the Basic Strategy Charts and your many excellent articles.
Wheelmarks Author replied: You are correct: with surrender the percentage of hands lost will be higher, but the money lost will be lower assuming you use surrender at the appropriate times.
That is especially true when using the trainer.
The win percentage is just the number of wins divided by the number of total hands.
The next version will be much improved in that regard, when I get time to finish it!
For the Beau Rivage game you mention, I plugged in 6D, H17, and Late Surrender at the Strategy Engine: That shows a house advantage estimated at 0.
The Resplit Aces rules decreases that by about 0.
That is the important number, regardless of what percentage of hands you will win or lose.
Steven said: Thank you for everything, man.
I am on vacation for six months and I have been on your site almost everyday for the past three.
I have basic memorized and have started working counting in to my play.
Thank you for teaching me these skills through your site.
The new format looks great.
Greg replied: This is one poor trainer.
The house has an unbelievable knack for pulling a 14-15-16 Right out of their asses and making a 20 or 21.
Almost always beating you by 1.
