We'd also like to steer clear of the beery brigade.
We're not doing shows.
So really, does anyone know any decent places to go out and have a drink that are quintessentially Vegas, that offer stunning surroundings, over-the-top decor or sideshows, all-round fun?
We want the Vegas experience, and flamboyant stuff, but nothing too tacky.
I'm thinking bars with a view, unusual venues, good music, people-watching opps etc.
Any help much appreciated.
If you are not a troll, the bar in the Stratosphere Tower is quiet and does have a "view.
Las Vegas is where people go to do things they wouldn't be caught dead doing at home.
The "stunning surroundings" are at the Grand Canyon, Zion, and Bryce.
The "over-the-top decor" is all over The Strip in the big resorts.
They fairly reek of it.
The "sideshows" in the original American sense of the word are at Circus-Circus.
The Vegas Experience is on Fremont Street in the "Downtown" area of Las Vegas.
The "flamboyant stuff" is in stag party in vegas shows that you say you're not "doing.
Maybe they can help you.
I'm certain that they are used to vague and unusual requests.
I've always been partial to people-watching down at Fremont Street.
Your fantasy Vegas and the money grubbing reality may have some conflict.
The beery brigade I like that in their ball caps, wife beater shirts and cutoff pants are everywhere,though they are probably not as obnoxious stag party in vegas your home town lager louts.
You pay more money, you generally get surrounded by a better crowd.
I've been all over Vegas and really nothing comes to mind to exactly meet your request.
You might have to explore a bit.
Each casino has multiple bars and restaurants with bars and clubs.
You might try a few.
This involves extensive walking.
That is what most visitors do.
